Electricity Meltdown in 2010

It is a little too late for this electricity problem to be rectified in such a short time. My plan of action will be to use the least amount of electricity as I can. I am not rich enough to just shrug off this problem with the rise of electricity in 2010. I am in the middle class soon to be in the poor class. What will the poor class of people be called, once they take another step down? We have heard of below poverty level is there another level below that one.

I am getting myself a wood/corn pellet stove and keeping myself warm in the winter with it. It will be cheaper than using the electric to keep warm. My only hope here, is that not a lot of other people will take my great idea. If they do, then I will be in the situation of either not getting my pellets or again paying a higher price for them, which will defeat what I am trying to do. I will also try to conserve by drying my clothes on the clothesline, the old fashion way. I should also think about sitting at night with just the TV on and no lights. Maybe I will light some candles. Maybe, the Amish people have the right idea.

I really feel sorry for the poor, who don't have enough now to heat their homes. The oil went sky high, so a lot of people who have oil heat are now trying to heat with the electric heaters. When electricity goes sky high, what will they have left to heat their homes with that they will be able to afford. Our government programs for helping people with their heating bills will be over-whelmed with more people needing help to heat their homes with electricity. It also comes to my mind that not only will residential customers get hit, but businesses will too, which will mean, they will have to pass the increase onto the consumer. We are still in a situation with the oil. How much more can people take.

I think the government needs to worry about here for once and get our economy straight before they send aid to other countries. Let's help our own people first. We are headed for a fall with the economy and nobody seems to believe that there is going to be a recession or worst.
